Reebok-CCM Hockey

The mandate to design a lighter hockey helmet first came from CCM. When the product hit store shelves in 2004, Reebok choose to integrate our design into its line of professional products.

The openings made in the main high-density polyethylene shell reduced the helmet’s weight significantly. These very same openings, distributed over low-impact zones, were reinforced with carbon fibre pads to ensure safety.

The gladiator look associated with hockey players in North America was preserved, thus allowing the product to pass the “mirror test”. Sydney Crosby was the first NHL hockey player to adopt the helmet.
