Patrick Mainville talks about medical design on ARTV

Patrick Mainville, VP of design, comments on the contribution of industrial design in the medical field in the latest episode of “Le design est partout” television series.
Design is everywhere, even in hospitals. Medical services’ view on patients and users has evolved greatly over the last few decades. Companies in the medical sector are calling more and more frequently on the services of designers to develop and design their projects. New solutions must constantly be explored to reach an ideal symbiosis between function, quality and design of medical environments and products.
The show’s creator, Kurt Hibchen, presents an overview of design from here and elsewhere in the daily lives of Quebecers. Design is found in unexpected places, from public spaces to everyday objects.
The program will air on ARTV from October 7 to 13, 2014.
