“Best-of-the-best” from prestigious Red Dot Award

For a second time in four years, a project by ALTO Design has won major international recognition with a Red Dot Award for outstanding design.

Following a win for CAE Healthcare surgical simulators in 2013, the GenePOC Revogene system has earned ALTO a Best of the Best distinction, the most prestigious award among the Red Dot’s. Among all previous winners, only one other Canadian firm has received this award.

What especially impressed the jury was a design approach to an easy, intuitive user experience. Behind the elegant look and amazingly simple user interface, is a powerful medical tool capable of analyzing many types of infections in just 70 minutes – a complex task that used to take up to several hours. By providing a simple, compact, and portable solution, the Revogene system brings an entire lab directly to the patient.
